Introduction

To research about Titanic is today a very popular interest around the world. The ship left Southampton for its maiden voyage in april 1912. 1495 of the 2207 passengers died. This tragedy became a huge event in Europe and USA. What did really happen that night? How could a ship that was said to be unsinkable sink? Many questions have been asked about Titanic. Even today the tragedy fascinates people. New Titanic movies or documentary films are released very often. Thousands of books have been written about TITANIC.

March 5, 2001 I finished my essay about Titanic. I have used the material from this essay when making TitanicNorden. Titanic Norden was then launched on June 6, 2001, but the work is not finished. I still research about Titanic and the goal with Titanic Norden is to collect every fact about Titanic and all people who are interested in Titanic on one page. So far the material is in Swedish only, but translating the page into English is a future project. Please contact me if you are interested in helping with the translation.

Except for Titanic you can also read about other ships like Lusitania , Olympic , Britannic , Estonia, Queen Mary and the Vasa. You can make quizzes, discuss at the forum, read about the wreck, look at photos and watch videoclips. You can also read about James Camerons famous Titanicmovie and about the actors Kate Winslet and Leonardio Dicaprio. Welcome to a very exciting site. Titanic Norden is getting close to
1 million visitors.
